Young Linguists Make Their Mark at Languagenut Competition
We are delighted to share that an impressive 140 children across the school took part in the recent Languagenut competition. While we didn’t have any pupils place in the top 20 this time, as a school we secured 29th place in the UK — a fantastic accomplishment and a testament to the enthusiasm and dedication of our young linguists.
Huge congratulations to every child who took part. Your commitment and curiosity for languages are wonderful to see. Please do keep exploring Languagenut; it is exciting to know that so many pupils are choosing to learn an additional language as part of their Edge lessons.
A gentle reminder: pupils who engage with all four language skills — reading, writing, speaking and listening — will make the strongest progress. Some children feel that repeating the same game is beneficial; however, true improvement comes from practising a variety of activities and stretching all areas of language learning.
Well done once again and keep up the brilliant work!
